  1. BW: 165
    Age: 31
    “Fran”
    As Rx’d
    All sets unbroken
Just didn’t have it today. Still shooting for that sub 3 minute “Fran”
    Time: 3:15

  2. 51/m/208-212 (who knows what I will weigh tomorrow? I can’t stop eating)
    Completed CFWU,
and before I share my “FRAN” results, I want to comment on the video that I watched of Breck completing “FRAN” in 3:08. I have watched the video more than a dozen times, but it was only today after attempting “FRAN” myself that I realized that Breck’s video was done with wires supporting the barbell weight and his bodyweight. It is quite obvious after completing my own “modified” Fran (assisted pull-ups and pushing 50-40 pounds on the thrusters) that Breck’s Fran involved some David Copperfield assistance. When a human being, such as myself, does 21 50 lb. thrusters as quickly as possible, his body quakes and convulses, and the whole skull becomes blazing red, nature’s way of broadcasting that the human is in serious distress. Quickly shifting from those 21 thrusters to pulling the human body repeatedly up and down from a bar, only increases the human’s distress, delivering overwhelming signals of pain and nausea to the brain, while causing the heart to accelerate with the rhythym of an automobile piston. I did not observe any of these exaggerated symptoms in Breck’s video, even after he continues from one transition to another. Thus we have David Copperfield or a genuine extraterrestial operating a fitness gym in Jenks, Oklahoma. Since I think Dick Cheney would be all over the alien thing, I say there is a Crossfit magician in Jenks.
My time for my modified “Fran”: 13:30

  3. One other thing. Go JEFF. The pull-up pictures were inspiring. I think I am still a couple of weeks away from doing 1 unassisted pull-up.

  4. Thanks for the encouragement. I owe it all to Breckles! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mark – “hang” in there. I could barely do any pullups, but I kept up with the jumping ones and now I can do 6 kipping pullups in a row. It’ll come.

Pushups were another weak area for me, and yesterday I did a total of 45 standard ones during the workout so woohoo.

  5. “FRAN” As RXd time was 7:33 a new PR Last time was 12:44 My goal was just to get under 10 minutes. Smoked It SUB 5 minutes will be my next goal. This CrossFit stuff Coach Berry has us doing works.
