Back Squat: 335 lbs (Failed @ 355; had Nicole watch from the side and she said I got parallel but my groin crease did not go below the top of the knee cap)
Shoulder Press: 155 lbs
Deadlift: 405 lbs
Total: 895 lbs
51/m/210
I am terrified of all these lifts because of concerns about my back, but I definitely feel my core strength increasing. So, I risked lifting some weight that I never would have considered just a few weeks ago.
Back squat: 105 (I stopped at this weight, although I might have done more, because I want to make sure I can do this much safely and not be crippled tomorrow. My right knee felt a little funny in the lift too. Just some carryover from completing yesterday’s 10K. Plus my form is questionable. I have no coach to view me lifting. I am striving to keep the bar over my heels, as I think I saw this emphasized in a video. Also trying not to let myself roll forward.)
Shoulder Press: 95 lbs (Also might have been able to do a little more, but was reallyl scared about pushing weight over my head. I worked at keeping my core solid. Think my form is okay on this one, as I have also studied these videos.)
Deadlift: 200 lbs (A real surprise that I did this. Thought the weight would scare me about hurting my back, but when I started at 130, I just kept adding weight comfortably. Could have done more, but again I wanted to make sure that I am not crippled tomorrow.)
Total: 400 lbs
Another celebration: Did my first unassisted pull-up today. Completed one pronated, one supinated. Tried to do two of each, but could not.
I love my Crossfit buzz everyday. Thanks everyone.
