  1. Playing catch up again, glad it is a rest day. I am on temporary duty (TDY) at Fort Knox and went to the base gym yesterday to catch up on my WODS . YES of course wearing my CROSSFIT JENKS t-Shirt. Good thing to. They had a little CrossFit section set up in the gym with rings and all. For those of you that didn’t know, CrossFit is growing in the Army ranks as a way to do PT.

Anyway I had to knock out “Tabata Something Else” rested 5-10 minutes and took on “MICHAEL” Pretty good smoker

WOD “Tabata Something Else” as RXd = 371 Almost there Coach

“MICHAEL” as RXd = 25:08 NOT almost there Coach. I don’t know why such a bad time. Maybe because back to back.

Congrats Nicole on the new PR. Furthermore, I want to tell all CrossFit Jenks personnel your work ethic, desire, and consistency with Coach Breck’s training, scheduling, and guidance is truly an extrinsic motivating factor that I feed off of. Thank you. Mark, Jim, Nicole, Jeff and BRECKLES your times and efforts are improving and the epitome of intestinal fortitude. May we all be FIT and become Elite CrossFitters. Deferentially, OkieDB

  2. 52/m/213 (yeah, the weight is going up. Hope it’s core muscle.)
It’s a rest day today, but I may miss the WOD tomorrow, as I have a tennis date out of town, and a massage scheduled later in the day tomorrow. So not sure when I would squeeze in the WOD.
    So today, did CFWU
    400 meter run
    5 unassisted pull-ups
    5 max assisted dips
    400 meter run
    5 unassisted pull-ups
    5 max assisted dips
    400 meter run
    2 unassisted pull-ups, 3 assisted
    5 assisted dips
    400 meter run
    10 assisted pull-ups
    10 assisted dips
10 dead-lifts at 135 lbs. (working on form, weight on heels)
    10 back squats w/45 lbs.
    10 shoulder press w/45 lbs.
    10 thrusters w/30 lbs.
3 back squats w/95 lbs. (working on trying to keep my weight on my heels, maintaining core, I want to roll right at the bottom)
    3 back squats w/ 75 lbs.
10 x 2 hang cleans w/45 lbs. (watched the “nasty girls video” yesterday. I feel like such a wimp seeing them repeatedly cleaning 95 lbs. after doing their muscle-ups)
    10 shoulder press w/30 lbs.
I could not be happier…unless I could get this boat anchor off my neck.

  3. Mark, You have become a CrossFit animal! I like the workout you designed. Now go put that CrossFit training into action during your tennis match tomorrow. Good luck, but I know you won’t need it due to your new level of fitness.

OkieDB, I am starting to get worried with the great times you are putting out! I wouldn’t even want to try do a workout (especially “Michael”) after I did “Tabata Something Else”! Great job!

After reading both of your posts, I am starting to feel guilty for taking a rest day. Great dedication and intensity! You both motivate me to give 110%!

  4. Whooo-hoooo, I’m enjoying my day off here!! No guilt for me. 🙂

Wow Mark that’s some warmup. I wish you hadn’t posted it. Breck may get the idea to make us do it too. Thankfully he hasn’t found a boat anchor yet, but I did see a Yugo out back, so he’ll probably want us to overhead squat it. And OkieDB, two WODs in the same day??? Doesn’t that violate section 42(b), paragraph 3 of the CrossFit Manual? Wow, you’re a CF stud for sure!

By the way who are those two guys with the puke bucket? The one lying down must be a real wimp.
