    Friday 071207 “LYNNE”
“Lynne” Specifics: There is NO rest between the BW bench presses and the pull-ups. After each set of pull-ups, you ARE allowed to rest. It is suggested to rest/you will probably see the best benefits resting roughly 3-5 minutes, as this is enough to allow recovery but hopefully not long enough to lose focus. (For Example you should be doing max BW bench presses into max pull-ups, resting 3-5 minutes, max BW bench presses into max pull-ups, and so on). Brendan has a good example video from CF HQ where he rests five minutes. I am going to get some, but still smoked a little from yesterday’s WOD as you could see in the post. What a hell of a way to re-mount the horse. Will post results later. Best of luck on total reps completed. Train Hard Train to Survive! OkieDB Out

Did modified “Lynne” as I can’t bench bodyweight or do enough unassisted pull-ups to make it worth my while.

I compared to Oct. 23 “Lynne” and increase the load from 125 bench to 135 this time. I used 5 plates less of weight assist on the pull-ups this time.

    Previous “Lynne” - Bench 9-9-7-6-5 Pull-ups 14-11-13-9-10
    Today’s “Lynne” - Bench 6-5-5-5-4 Pull-ups 10-10-9-8-8
I guess there is a little improvement in strength there, but not much.

See ya’ at the gym tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
All the girls can line up to out-lift me.

32/m/176 (my weight is going the wrong way…)

Did “Lynne” modified with 95# bench. This is my first time to bench press at CrossFit. It’s been years since I did a bench press.

Didn’t write down my rounds this morning. It’s in my book at the gym.
    My total reps were
    Bench 51
    Pull-ups 37

I did hit a new PR on pull-ups. I had 10 consecutive in round 1. My previous was 8.
My hands hurt like crazy but it was a great workout.

I concur Mark it looks like you have achieved some muscular strength gains. These are two areas (Pull-ups and Bench press) where little gains truly add up as they directly impact some major muscle groups. Good Job. Pull-ups and Body weight bench will definitely come with your consistency and intensity.
Outstanding David on the New Pull-Up PR. Way to stay focused and train hard.
I will see you all tomorrow at CrossFit Jenks.
