Today’s WOD was a little deceiving. Thought it would be cake. Legs were shaking and my butt was cramping when finished. It was a good family day as my sister and niece did this one with me today. Hats off to them and becoming regular CrossFitters:)
WOD Sunday 071216 as RXd
400 meter Walking lunge (did it around a track)
TIME = 12:31 at 386 steps (it was broken 9 times)
Really want to get better at thrusters with dumbells since Coach Berry had me perform 30 lb dumbell thrusters at CF Jenks. So I knocked out 30 thrusters with 30lb dumbells in 2:07. My goal is a sub-1 minute 30lb thrusters for 30 reps. Thanks Coach Breck this hit me a little different than barbell thrusters. I believe it may help me eventually break my sub-5 min “FRAN” I try to do this and OHSs on leg intensive WOD days as I definitely need to enhance these areas. Skipped the OHSs today as legs were cramping, I know I am weak and whining:(

Was able to make up yesterday’s WOD today.
did 7 pull-ups with 15lbs. added weight each time.
I did more pull-up work, a bunch of dips, some bench press (new PR-155), some OHS,
I completed a little over half of today’s WOD.
I went 240 yards in 14:40. Did 199 walking lunges, and then I just gave up. I feel like it was the first time I ever just quit a WOD. I could have gone on, but I felt like it was not the intent of the WOD for me to be out there for 40 minutes, and that is probably how long it would have taken me to get to the 400 meter mark. Wow, is my rear going to be sore tomorrow.

At 3:45 pm went to the local Jenks track to do the 400 meter walking lunge.
Time: 11:53 and 367 steps.
