Progress report from the OkieDB files and my brutal Date with “EVA.” No excuses I went into this wanting to have a good Date with EVA but I got bitch slapped. My goal was to get under 50 minutes and I did by 31 seconds, but it was not a good date. I actually thought it wasn’t going to be too bad. It turned into survival and I had to go to a mindset of just don’t quit complete the WOD and push it to make time. It was really more, just finish all 5 rds and do not quit. I do not know if it is the lack of sleep or what but EVA beat me down.
This was one of those WODs/Dates where you need at least five minutes to gather your senses and you sit aimlessly in a stupor. I then asked myself why the hell do I do this???? But after a bottle of water and 5 minutes had passed, sure enough I said I love this shit and I will go for a sub 45 minute date with EVA because I know CF Jenks is hitting it hard. Thanks Coach Berry and CrossFit Jenks for the motivation as I now look forward to bitch slapping EVA on our next date.
Coach Berry are those 3x 10lb bumper plate weights on the ends of the bar. Just kidding, nice lift! Keep on motivating me and training for the Games!!!
