  1. Greetings Jenks CrossFitters,
I hope you all enjoy your one mile run and I hope ole Mark beats down that flu. I believe someone went and got certified this weekend and hope it all went well. What was up with the parking lot training the other night at some shopping center? It sounds pretty cool. We actually had the Navy host a 5K run called the Anchor’s Aweigh Run. It was a great event but a little odd performing it over here on the Victory Base Complex. I finally broke my 21:00 mark and ran a 20:27. Will now shoot for the sub-20. I went and knocked out ANGIE as RXd real quick or so I thought after the race and our Date lasted 21:47. Well keep on training and I know I am a little late to post but the 7 rds of 10 SDHP 95lbs and 10 Ring Dips was very impressive by Coach Berry and I did not realize he beat OPT (Bring on the CrossFit Games), but I was super impressed with Danny’s time. Awesome Job Danny. Best of luck and once again hope the cert went well. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB out

I was feeling a little better today, so I went to the gym to see if I could get in a workout of some kind. I got through 3 rounds of Crossfit warm-up, taking it very easy. I had no energy. I have some kind of nerve injury in my right wrist now. I do not know what I did to cause it. I can’t do pull-ups without shooting pain, but I can do chin-ups with no discomfort at all. Weird. I thought a week of laying around would heal my back muscle strain, but it seems no better. It hurts the most trying to do shoulder press or deadlift. My right shoulder continues to be a problem with bench press and dips. I am going to keep all the weights light for awhile and see if I cannot make a comeback. Today, all I accomplished was the warm-up and a few miscellaneous lifts just to see what is, and is not, hurt. I tried to run a slow mile on the treadmill, but could not even finish a half mile. This flu is bad stuff. I will probably do nothing again tomorrow, and see if I can’t accomplish a full workout on Tuesday.

I am glad to hear that everyone else in the Crossfit community is staying well. Congrats on the running PR OkieDB. Nicole, please share about you experience at the CERT.
