  1. 52/m/195 (I have lost weight while sick. Muscle atrophy?)
    Did 4 rounds of
    Samson stretch
    15 squats
    25 sit-ups
    15 push-ups from the knees
    15 thrusters w/10lb. dumbbells

    Still felt very weak today as I continue to recover from the flu. I did not go to the gym because I thought there was a good chance I would not last long there. I did the work above at home. My right shoulder seems more tender limiting me to push-ups from the knees. I feel cursed, like my whole body is just quitting on me. While the rest of you continue to log your progress, I guess my reports will just tell the story of my demise until I can get things going in a more positive direction. I am going to try to run a mile after work today. We will see how that goes.

    Still waiting to read a comment from Nicole about the Cert. Was it as great as I always see others reporting? Will we be seeing a video of Nicole going Fran to Fran with one of the Nasty Girls soon? Was the Fort Worth GSX super?

  2. hey Mark, glad your feeling a little better. being down that hard takes a toll on your strength & stamina, knocking out 4 rnds. of that is pretty respectable! hopefully this spring i’ll see u on a saturday WOD in Jenks, keep pushing through man!

    100 Double Unders

    75 Sit-ups

    50 Box Jumps

    25 Burpees with a push-up and pull-up

    The double unders killed my time but they are getting better. I got 5 or 6 consecutive at one point.

    Yes, the cert was every bit of FABULOUS!!! All the staff and trainers are very friendly and helpful. The course content (lecture/practice) was also very informative and I’m really glad I went. If all goes as I plan, I will be able to knock out some kipping pull-ups in the next month or so………. they had a short lesson on pull-ups/muscle-ups that was very helpful. Also, they hit briefly on “good nutrition” paleo vs. zone………… so I am paleo-ing… pretty much the same as the zone only w/out the measuring! Food has really been my downfall. Hang in there, the flu is REALLY tough to come back from, it will just take some time. Go easy and soon enough you’ll be back in full swing!! We hope that we can get you back up to Jenks for another workout this summer!! Any plans??

  5. Nicole and Danny, thanks for cheering me on to recovery. I hope it comes soon. Glad to hear the CERT was a big hit. I do plan to make it back to Jenks at least by the summer.
