    Wow,
Of all days I am able to check the internet, and you know the first place I go is CrossFit Jenks, and I see Old Glory in its Red White and Blue Vibrant Colors flying over the CrossFit Jenks battle ground. It was an Honor to have this Service done for exceptional loving family members, friends, and CrossFitters. Keep up the good fight and be Proud of our homeland. You are truly great Americans, people, and friends. You bring so much meaning to what we do and believe in over here. Keep up the CrossFit spirit and overall wellness, health, and fitness lifestyle. I see the two Crossfit Coachs Breck and Nicole have already purchased tickets to go compete at the games. OUTSTANDING, I am stoked and will root for you. Best of luck to both of you and to all else that will compete or attend. When I am able to CrossFit over here I dig deep for my CrossFit Jenks crew. “Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive!” OkieDB Out

    5 rounds for time of:

15 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (95 lbs)
    15 Thrusters (95 lbs)

Time: 10:04 ( My goal was to break 10 minutes and I didn’t suck it up! Nicole timed me and told me there was no reason for me not to break 10 minutes. She is going to make a great trainer.)

I used 95 lbs and was shooting to beat Danny’s time as rx’d. I was thinking about the first time Danny came into CrossFit Jenks and did “Helen” and only made it through 2 rounds and how I would have never guessed that 6 months later he would be the man to beat! Great performance Danny!

Great job to everyone today on the “WOD”!

    Did CFWU

Did main Crossfit WOD: “Nate” (In 20 minutes do as many rounds of 2 muscle-ups, 4 handstand push-ups, 8 kettlebell swings 2 pood.)
I modified the workout, subbing 4 pull-ups and 4 assisted dips for the 2 muscle-ups, subbing 4×75 shoulder press for the HSPU, and did 40lb. dumbell swings.
    I made 8 rounds.

This workout ended up being comical to carry-out. I normally workout at 6am with low gym population at that time of day, but today I worked out at 5pm. I counted over 60 people in the weight area of the big Globo gym that I use. It is a big area with lots of machines, but only two pull-up bars, two barbell racks, and one dipping station. The pull-up bars and the barbell racks are at opposite sides of the large room that contains all the weights and machines. I would do my pull-ups and dips, and then I had 60 people, multiple machines, benches, and barbells to scramble past to get to the barbell rack that was holding my 75lb. barbell for my shoulder presses. I also had to hope at each switch that no one was occupying the station that I needed during my 20 minute blitz at “Nate”. Whenever someone was dipping when I need to dip I had to change course and head to the dipping machine as a substitute, oops that’s occupied, so I aimed for the other dipping machine. When someone grabbed the barbell and threw 135lbs. on the bar while I was away, that meant turning around and racing to the shoulder press machine as a substitue on that round. I am sure everyone thought that I was some kind of nut, grabbing something, doing 4 reps, and racing to the next thing. Plus no one ever does dumbell swings at my gym. There are no kettlebells, so the swings always gets some stares.

I made 8 rounds in 20 minutes, but my “Nate” really means: “IN 20 MINUTES, see how many different paths you can take around your gym and how many different machines and barbells you can use to accomplish lifts that no one else understands or wants to do with the kind of intensity that only Crossfitters’ understand.”

So, today I trained hard, trained smart, trained to survive, and trained quite creatively. I hope I made OkieDB proud. I sure am proud of him.

I must admit Mark, I got a good giggle at your expense… but that’s awesome that you stuck it out!! Very impressive!!

I guess since I post post my triumphs I might as well post my failures. Due to bad eating over the weekend and skipping meals through Monday I was unable to complete the workout as Rx’d. Started feeling really nauseated and light headed after just 1 round. No one should have doubts about Danny’s progress being from both Crossfit and diet.
