    Yep, I watched it. It is very impressive, but I think doing the thrusters with the ball allows him to go faster. I wonder what his time would be if he went as deep at Breck does on them. Probably not that much slower, but I think it would affect his time a little. Still it’s a crazy score. And he’s got a funky kipping style that lets him know out the pullups fast, too.

    Dang, I wish we could edit our posts. I meant to say “knock out the pullups”… I guess the W key is a little too close to the CK key! :)

    Jeff, I agree 100% on the thrusters. not as deep and you can see the ball wobble, so he’s getting some bounce. the kipping is indeed strange, it almost looks like he’s doing them in a backwards circle. Speal’s chin does clear the bar but he doesn’t hold the top contraction at all. I don’t know if that amounts to anything, have to get Breck’s opinion on that one.

    still a badass demonstration though!

    Speal the Seal. Amazing. He should join the circus.

    I really was impressed, but also thought the pull-ups fit into some weird category. Some called them “snake man” pull-ups, and that seemed fitting.

    Forgetting the pull-ups all together, and even considering some bounce from the ball, I know that I would explode if I did 95lb. thrusters at that pace. He sets a nice benchmark performance for people to shoot for.

    In the meantime, I will continue to be gassed by 65lb. squats and other sissy lifts.

    Ran on Riverside since it appeared that the Jenks track was being used by the track team or something..
