Five rounds of:
Deadlift, 3 reps
Handstand push-ups, max reps (substitute push-ups or dumbbell shoulder press for max reps)

Post Deadlift loads and number of Handstand push-ups (push-ups or dumbbell shoulder press) to responses.

    My rest day was yesterday. After a rest day I always expect to feel refreshed and juiced up about hitting the gym. Instead, I woke up feeling sore everywhere. The whole idea of working out seemed miserable. Every movement felt labored when putting on my clothes. I asked myself why I do this, when laying in bed feels so good. But I made it to the gym, stepped out of my car, walked inside, began spinning my arms, and the next thing you know, I was sweating my ass off doing…

    …and the WOD: Five rounds of Deadlift 3reps, Handstand push-ups max reps
    I did only 135lb. deadlifts because I wanted to test the healing of my back strain that occurred 2 weeks ago. I subbed 75lb. barbell shoulder press for handstand push-ups.

    I did 5 rounds 3×135lb. deadlift and 75lb. shoulder press 7,7,7,7,6 reps

    I did back squats
    10×75lb.
    10×95lb.
    5×105lb.
    5×115lb.

    I did OHS
    10×45lb.
    10×45lb.

    Did Shoulder press with 15lb. dumbbells
    21×15 lb. dumbbells

    I ran 1 mile on treadmill at 0% incline.

    It seems like my back tolerated the workout well. My mental attitude is upbeat. Crossfit sometimes feels like a daily gauntlet that I must pass through to find and feel like myself.

    Is Nicole going to a RUNNING Cert.?

    Taking an unwanted rest day. Have work-related function I can’t get out of. Oh well, will be rested up for a big date I’m sure Breck will have for us Friday.

    I hope to make it back on Saturday morning. Had some stuff come up with work. Gotta pull another all nighter tonight…ugh.
