There will be no 9:30 am class this Saturday, September 27th. Instead we are going to be doing the “Fight Gone Bad III” fundraiser at 12:30 pm. There will be a cookout after the competition. We will provide the hamburgers and are leaving the side dishes up to you. This also means BYOB! Please post to responses if you will be attending and any side dishes if you plan on bringing one.

I was wondering if all legs for the Rt 66 Marathon were good to go? I would still like to do the 5K or 6K if no one else has claimed that. Also, Breck said he would be happy to do the 10K or anything shorter if that’s okay?
If you have time would you post who you’ve got for each leg?

So far we need one more person to run! The race is Sunday, Nov 16th. It starts at 8:00AM. After you run yoru leg you can stick around and cheer for everyone else. The realy is really fun!
1st Leg – 10km – Breck
2nd Leg – 5km – Jessie or Nicole
3rd Leg – 12km – Ginny or mystery runner
4th Leg – 6km – Jessie or Nicole
5th Leg – 9km – Ginny or mystery runner
Jessie – you are welcome to run one of the longer legs if you want! Basically we need someone who really wants to run the 9K or 12K. I will do which ever one we don’t get someone for.

Loren (aka mystery runner) or I are able to do all distances listed so just put us where ever is left. I don’t mind one of the longer legs although I think Loren should have to do it since he is ditching me on the Tulsa Run – that Punk!
YAY for our mystery runner! I’ll bring some sign up info on Saturday to FGB. We can punish Loren with the 9K or 12K. I really don’t care which one I do, but I would like to do one of the longer ones since I’m not running the Tulsa Run anymore. Boo. It should be fun. I’m really looking forward to the food tent afterwards.
Alrighty then… so this is what I’m envisioning:
1st Leg – 10km – Breck

4th Leg – 6km – Jessie
5th Leg – 9km – Loren
How does everyone feel about that? I’m PUMPED!! I will be testing my 5K tonight on the treadmill.. : )
I like it. We will be in the mixed division since we are letting boys run with us.
Everyone else should be required to make signs and come cheer us on.
Tested my 5K Treadmill time today- I started out w/ an annoying side stitch which kept me in the 6.5-7.0 range for the first 10 minutes or so, I slowly bumped it up and the last 5 minutes was able to keep about a 7.8 pace w/ a few sprints…

So… my goal for our Rt 66 is sub 24 minutes. About 1 1/2 months to train for it- I think it’s very possible if I stay consistent w/ my training and ZONING!
