Push-ups are honest push-ups. Handstand push-ups are “nose to floor”.

  1. Had to knock out the WOD real quick before church. I still owe on yesterday’s clean WOD. Will perform it tonight. Have to administer and grade a record physical fitness test tomorrow, so will have to perform tomorrow’s WOD in the evening.

    Today’s WOD as RXd = 19:57 Talk about a shoulder BURN!!!!

    BRECKLES 🙂 Finally paid for Charlotte and will secure rental car tonight. I think I will also start running some 5 k races as my __________ are returning.

    50 Ring Dips (jumping)
    Run 400 meters
    50 Push-ups (strict)
    Run 400 meters
    50 Shoulder Press @ 45lb

    Time: 31:35

    This was my first WOD to complete all strict push-ups….most of the time was spent completing the shoulder press substitute! Great Workout!!

  3. OkieDB, You smoked me on this one! I have got to start practicing more on those Handstand Push-ups. I was under 10 minutes when I started the HSPU’s.

    Did CFWU
    Did modified WOD
    Running was on a treadmill.
    Subbed assisted dips for ring dips. Really challenged myself with these, took about 6 minutes to complete them, thus I was dead for the push-ups and subbed girl push-ups. I would have been at this all day trying to do 50 honest push-ups.
    Subbed 45 lb. shoulder press for handstand push-ups.
    Time 25:21

    I probably should have pushed more on the shoulder press. I was afraid that I would have been standing around bar gazing for an hour.

    To you “arms of steel guys” that completed this workout without modification, I salute you. From where I am at, that kind of effort seems unimaginable.

    Nicole, congrats on sticking with the strict push-ups. That is a big goal for me in the future.

    I did yesterday’s WOD after today’s. I am just learning to do cleans, so I stuck with low weight, trying to improve my form.
    Did 50-55-60-65-70-75-80-85-90-95
    Then 10x95lbs. Deadlift
    10 x 45lb. hanging cleans
    4 unassisted pull-ups
    20 assisted pull-ups
    10x115lbs., 8×115, 6×115, 4×115,2×115 bench
    50 sit-ups
    50 air squats
    Ran 1 mile on the road.

  5. As Rx’d and really concentrated on good proper form (no cheating). Started HSPU’s at 16:02 and finished them at 31:18. Total time 32:55

    Also just FYI, Im making a road trip to Dallas tomorrow to pick up a C2 Rower (model D). Getting a great deal, it only has 17,200 meters rowed and I’m getting it for $650.00. Breck, if you know a better deal somewhere, save me the trip and let me know. The rower is one of the last pieces I need to complete my “garage gym” here in Broken Arrow.

    Did you run the Tulsa Run? Or at least the 5k?
