    “Isabel”
First time to do her as Rx’d
All were squat snatches except about 2 were power snatches.
    Time: 14:56
Felt so good and excited, I wanted to work on my form so I did 20 more to equal a total of 50.
    Time for 50: 27:51

  2. Who is the Anorexic in the Pic. Eat some meat! Just kidding nice HandStand Push-ups. Thanks for the by the book example and standard. Yes I know you eat meat and it shows

CFWU x 3 Had fun with this and did it for TIME!
3 sets of 15 reps skipped the Samson stretch
    15 PVC Pipe OHS
15 GHD Sit-Ups full ROM touching hand to back of floor as RXd
    15 Back extensions
    15 Pull-ups
    15 Dips
All three rounds TIME of 13:29 It was pretty fun and a little different

1 mile warm-up run on treadmill (simulated hill run at 5% angle for the whole mile) TIME of 9:10

“Isabel” I must confess this is one of my weakest WODs. Really concentrated on form.
    For time:
Snatch (Modified to 75lbs) pounds, 30 reps Yes of course they were Squat Snatches as RXd

    Time = 11:25

I look forward to tomorrow’s rest day as I will fully rest and recover from this week. Enjoy the weekend and have fun my fellow CrossFitters. I will be moving in two weeks and have to pack/prep this weekend. I look forward at training at my home turf

  3. I am not bad at these snatches.
    I am HORRIBLE.
Did 20 reps with 20 lbs. and 10 reps with 30 lbs.
I forgot I was supposed to time myself. I was just trying to learn how to do it right.
Think I can handle more weight once I expand ROM.
    Crossfit keeps me learning.
I worked on pull-ups and dips today also.

  4. After reading various postings on Crossfit site, I am confused about whether “Isabel” as rx’d means squat snatches or power snatches. The Karabel video of a day or so ago seemed to create this confusion. Any ideas?
I worked at doing squat snatches today, just wondered if I could have taken the easy way out.

  5. Mark, I was always under the impression that “Isabel” meant full squat snatches. I watched the video the other day and was surprised when they said power snatches. I would recommend you doing the full squat snatch to really learn the technique. Plus, CrossFitters don’t take the easy way out. Don’t get discouraged, the snatch is a very tough lift to learn and especially when you are trying to teach it to yourself. It is a very technical lift.

  6. I will stick with squat snatches. Mastering the technique will be fun. I have Lindsey seeking out that Starting Strength book in Austin at Half-Price Books. I have found some Rippetoe information on the internet. Thanks for continued support.
