  1. Hello CrossFit Jenks Crew,
It is awesome to always check your posts and see all your new PRs. Mark that is one heck of a FRAN time. Perhaps this year’s CF Games are in reach. I am hoping they have an over 40 class, who knows we may compete together. Great Job on FRAN.

Nicole and Kevin those are phenomenal times on HELEN especially performing as RXd. Coach Berry your time is still elite and we are all striving for that. Excellent! Kevin you have him in sight, take him down. Loren where were you to push and possibly beat Breck???? You are also an elite CrossFitter with crazy fast times.

As for me I have been wanting and needing to give an attempt at FRAN and try and beat my 5min flat PR; so, I gave myself an ultimatum. If I can beat my FRAN goal/time I will not have to perform the CF Jenks HELEN WOD, if I don’t I will get 10 minute to recover and have to Date HELEN. Well by my results below you will see how I faired. Gotta love CrossFit!

Best of luck, intensity, and intestinal fortitude on today’s WOD CrossFit Kin.
Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB out

    OkieDB
    FRAN as RXd
TIME = 5:55 guess you know what this means

    10 minute rest

    HELEN as RXd
TIME = 11:45 real weird as I started cramping in my calf during the 1st and 2nd run portions. Gutted through and finished, never had this happen before.

PS There is a new Sergeant (male) here starting to CrossFit with another Major (female) and they are doing great. Performed FRAN and the CHIEF brilliantly. I think we have two more that are addicted to the Kool-Aid. Gotta love CrossFit! Maybe they will post every now and then and drop by CrossFit Jenks sometime if the military has them passing through.

  2. For time:

    800 Meter run

    50 Sit-ups

40 Box jumps (Men 24″ box, Women 20″ box)

    30 Knees to elbows

    20 Burpees

10 Shoulder press (Men 115 lbs, Women 65 lbs)

    800 Meter run

    Time: 14:23

OkieDB, I don’t know how you managed to gut out both “Fran” and “Helen” within 10 minutes of each other. Great job!

  3. Yesterday’s daily affirmation was a good one so I thought I would share: “The awareness of our own strength makes us modest.” – Paul Cezanne

    Looking forward to tonight’s workout!

  4. CFJ WOD
Modified with 25lbs seated dumbell presses to compare to last time.

    Today – 23:55

    March 08 – 27:58

Did this on my own during open gym so I’m pretty happy with my time. The burpees weren’t as bad as I was expecting. Knees to elbows always zap me.

Mark – I commend you once again on doing all your workouts alone. Not sure I would still be doing this if I didn’t have the extra motivation from Breck and the whole CFJ crew!

    800 Meter run

  6. The Route 66 Marathon is coming up on Nov 16th. It is the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I was planning on running the half marathon, but since I can’t run right now I’m going to scale back. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in forming a a five person marathon relay team with me! Here is what each leg would look like:
    1st Leg – 10km
    2nd Leg – 5km
    3rd Leg – 12km
    4th Leg – 6km
    5th Leg – 9km
I would like to run one of the longer legs if possible. The cost would be $36 per person. It’s a really fast course, pretty flat most of the way. Let me know if you are interested! You get a medal for finishing and FREE FOOD as always. I think that is my favorite part of racing. 🙂

  7. Hey CFJ!

My rotation in enid is going well! I have a membership to the YMCA and the place is really nice. They have several C2 Rowers and a really solid free weight setup. I don’t have internet at the housing they provided but I can check the WODs from my cell phone. I just have not posted from my phone because it takes me so long! I’m looking forward to getting back to tulsa and working out again. See you all later!

  8. Good to hear from you Stephen! We’re looking forward to having you back!

Ginny, I will volunteer for the 2nd or 4th Leg… nothing too long! Breck runs a 37 min 10K or something crazy- I will volunteer him for that… : ) We’ll see if he agrees.

  9. 10 Thrusters (Men 95 lbs, Women 65 lbs)

    1 Pull-up

    9 Thrusters

    2 Pull-ups

    8 Thrusters

    3 Pull-ups

    7 Thrusters

    4 Pull-ups

Continue this pattern, working your way down to 1 thruster and 10 pull-ups.

Not sure of my time…I still don’t have a watch…

  10. 52/m/190
OkieDB & Jeff, thanks for the praise.
You pumped me up so that I modified “Michael” tonight.

    I did 3 rounds of
run 1 mile (instead of 800m run)
    50 push-ups (instead back extensions)
    50 sit-ups

    My time: 49:55

  11. For time:

    800 Meter run

    50 Sit-ups

    40 Box jumps (12″ box)

30 Knees to elbows (hanging 6″ swinging knee raise)…really bad!

    20 Burpees

    10 Shoulder press (Used 38lbs)

800 Meter run (I tried to reduce my time by running as fast as I could)

Time: 25:?? or 24:?? -(not sure….too tired to remember–but I liked this WOD)

OkidDB…I love to read your posts..We all miss you and can not wait until you are home!
Tim, where are you?? No posts lately. Did not see you Mon or today!
